Yellow Card Disciplinary Procedure :

This procedure has been put here to particularly benefit new umpires and players. Every Yellow card that a player receives carries a number of points, graded according to the seriousness of the offence. An accumulation of points will incur the further automatic additional penalty of suspension from play, as follows:

Grading

A.  Verbal/visual obscenity 6 points
  B.  Dissent 4 points
  C.  Dangerous play 6 points
  D.  Deliberate foul 3 points
  E.  Unacceptable social conduct 3 points

The suspension level is 12 points or over.

When 12 or more points are recorded, the individual and their Club will be informed and the individual must attend a Mixed Section Disciplinary Hearing at a date, time and venue to be notified.

Minimum period of suspension is initially 16 days.

This will commence on the second Saturday following the suspension points total being reached and must embrace a defined number of league &/or cup matches as instructed by the Disciplinary Committee.  The initial suspension will be mandatory and may reflect other factors which would reduce the impact of the penalty, e.g. holidays or similar.

Where there is an additional suspension period added by the Disciplinary Committee, the period added will be subject to appeal.

Any player reaching the suspension level for a second time during the same season will receive a suspension twice the length of the first.

Red Card Disciplinary Procedure :

Note:  The Red Card Disciplinary Procedure is set out in England Hockey (EHA) official handbook and LRHA Constitution Rule 13.

Mixed Section Procedure:

1.   The LRHA Disciplinary Officer will determine the period of suspension and notify all parties.

2.   The Mixed Section Disciplinary Committee will then convene a Disciplinary Hearing to consider the case.

3.   The Disciplinary Committee may decide to apply further punishment and will notify all parties of the outcome of the hearing.
