Yellow Card Disciplinary Procedure) :

This procedure has been put here to particularly benefit new umpires and players. Every Yellow card that a player receives carries a number of points, graded according to the seriousness of the offence. An accumulation of points will incur the further automatic additional penalty of suspension from play, as follows:

Grading

A.  Verbal/visual obscenity 6 points
  B.  Dissent 4 points
  C.  Dangerous play 6 points
  D.  Deliberate foul 3 points
  E.  Ungentlemanly/unladylike
    conduct
3 points

The suspension level is 12 points or over.

Period of suspension - 16 days commencing on the second Saturday following the suspension total being reached, Saturday to count as day 1.

The initial suspension will be mandatory and will be a minimum period subject to alteration by the Disciplinary Committee (DC) if there are other factors, such as holidays etc. which would reduce the impact of the penalty. Where there is an additional suspension period added by the DC, the period added will be subject to appeal.
Players will be notified when they reach the suspension level and will then be subject to the terms and conditions of the England Hockey Association (EHA) Disciplinary Code.

Any player reaching the suspension level for a second time during the same Season will receive double that of the first suspension.

Note:  The Red Card Disciplinary Procedure is set out in England Hockey (EHA) official handbook.
