After an excellent start to the season Harborough faced their strongest opposition. Travelling to league champions of last year, and current league leaders Leicester Thursday

Harborough made a promising start with Thursday Struggling to break down the rock defence of, Roz Plowright, Vicky Judah, Anna Birch and Abbas.

Captain Abbas lead by example and opened the scoring from a trademark short corner early in the 1st half. The lead was doubled quickly with a beautifully struck goal from Neil James (16).

Now with away back into the game, Thursday straight from the restart picked up were they left off scoring two quick goals, and with mounting pressure Thursday were able to add two further goals putting Harborough 5-2 down.

However Harborough were able to pick themselves up through excellent work from Elle and Lauren Hand on the right wing, linking up with James Thorpe and Neil James in the centre.

Harborough got them self’s back into the game with five minutes left scoring two swift attacks resulting from good work by, Paul Moorhouse, Alice Phillips, Bob Read and Tim Chapman, however Harborough had left it to late with the game finishing in a 5-4 defeat
