Hockey Association

 The association is delighted to have a two year only funding bursary available to further promote its hockey coaching activities within its own community from funds obtained in conjunction with the Leicestershire and Rutland County Sports Partnership through a successful bid to the Community Investment Fund.

 

Purpose of Bursary

To enable candidates involved in hockey coaching to apply for funding towards achieving hockey coaching qualifications that benefits county teams, clubs or individuals living within the County of Leicestershire.  This bursary has a limited number of applicants it can only support England Hockey recognised coaching qualifications.  If an over subscription occurs strict adherence will be taken from the qualifying criterion. 

 

Criteria. 

The amount of funding available for Level One is a maximum of £50 and a maximum of £100 at Level Two – this includes the APEL process.  Applications in the main will be taken prior to a course taking place and will only be paid on completion (see below).  Deadline dates may be considered and if the number of applications made exceeds those available a determination will be made and applicants informed.  If possible this will be prior to the course.

Application Process

Applicants should make a formal written request using the application form and return it to the LRHA Hockey Development Group at the address shown on the form.  A panel including the Chair of the HDG will make the determination on those applications received.

Unless unusual circumstances are present the payment will be made after the course and on receipt of evidence that the course has been completed.
